i will upload photo's later the lower half of the engine is back in the car and for the next couple of hours i will put as much as i can back on the engine getting close now
HMMM not what i was hoping for it seem's to be missing back fires when you put your foot down even when in idle it doesn't sounds right a couple of coolant leeks and one of the pipes for the gearbox oil that goes to the radiator has a cut in it FML
this is what it sounds like i didn't get to run it for long before the gearbox oil started leaking
More bad news by the looks of it water in the oil would the engine assembly lube make the oil turn white this thing is shitting me now
It could be drawing in water into the intake. By the sounds on it you have water mixing with the oil somewhere. Likely the inlet manifold gaskets or head gaskets Also make sure that you have the spark leads in the right order. Cheers, Steve
The reason for the backfire and shitty idle was because of the spark plug leads i had on it i put another pair on and it was fine the main problem now is when you go to put it in anything other then P / N it just stalls unless you rev it a bit but as soon as you take your foot of it stalls
How does it idle in those gears? You may want to consider cracking open the butterfly a little bit more then factory
in P or N it idles fine but if you rev it then just let it drop it goes to stall but in like D or R you have to keep your foot a little on the accelerator otherwise it just stalls
Well first i have to find out where this coolant is getting into the oil just took the sump plug off and it is fully white LOL
I think the problem is the VX heads that i put on it. so i will give the VS heads a clean down change the springs over and put them on
Before you pull anything off if you borrow a coolant pressure tester if may save you a HEAP of time! I say this as it my not necessarily be the heads for arguments sake.
okay this is just shitting me now i have put it all back together to fill the coolant up and before i even turn the car on the coolant is already leaking out of the back of the passenger side head fml
Just come in late on this is anyone (qualified and experienced) supervising or overseeing your work and approving the proposed process you are using ?
