Vs ecotec ute wont start

Hey guys i recently bought a vs ute that has a blown motor so we swapped another ecotec into it and it has power to the ignition like the radio and dash lights come on but won't wind over so we tried jumping the starter motor and it winds over of the starter just not from the key and also the fuel pump won't run of the key either we hot wired the fuel pump and there is nothing wrong with the pump so was thinking it has something to do with a wire somewhere or a relay but we have tried everything so anyth

Make sure the key is contacting the slip ring. Also check your error codes and post the results here. Instructions in link below.

Did the old motor crank over? Sounds like a security issue. Make sure security light goes out when you turn the ignition on.

Did you plug the engine loom back into the dash loom by the ecu
