A VT or a VS is a newer car?

The easiest way to do the swap is to buy the egg rings for the hub spigot or the DBA discs. You can also swap the VT hubs on but watch the ABS sensor ring tooth count. The calliper just bolts up with the same bolt spacing for both cars and the hubs are bolted on too. There is also a potential issue with the brake hose length and location that depends on the model you get the donor parts off. You really should also swap the brake master cylinder with that from a VT-.

The springs are different between VS and VT, only the lower part of the strut assembly is interchangeable in any case.

There are many posts, even a How To, on the brake conversion. I'm surprised you can't find what you need.

The struts don't bolt into the cross member, not even close. Top of the strut bolts into the strut tower and the bottom bolts to the knuckle.

There is no advantage in swapping the whole upright at once, as Holden re-designed the way the strut bolts to the knuckle in the VR, you don't have to remove the hub assembly with the strut to change anything. You're better off changing the brakes while on the car and doing as said above. And VT struts probably won't do anything different, I can't imagine there being a noticeable difference in geometry.

Ok so basically what everyone is saying is it pointless even attempting to swap over and i should just go out and fork the $$$ out for the vt twin piston brake kit

The VT brake kit involves more parts to work properly, you need the master cylinder as well.

The best option is a VE spec upgrade, it uses the VE calipers and pads as well as the correct offset rotors and mounting kit. It comes complete with rotors, pads, calipers, mounting hardware, brake fluid and lines. There are two different sized rotors, 298mm or 322mm. They take a minimum sized wheel though, 16" for 298mm and 17" for 322mm. I do the kits for $795.

The VT pistons are larger so they displace more fluid, this gives a very low pedal. Fitting the VT master and booster counter acts that, but the VE calipers, while still a twin piston, are slightly smaller sized pistons so they still apply the same braking force, but displace less fluid so the pedal remains high. There is no need to replace anything away from the wheels when doing the VE upgrade.
