Hey guys i have a vs v6 ecotec and i have recently replaced the head gaskets. i was unaware that i needed a special tool to remove the fuel lines that go from the firewall to the injection rail and i cut them to get the injection assembly off. i was wondering how i go about replacing them? i noticed there is a little screw that holds the plate with the nozzle that comes off of the rail so i took the screw out and tried to and tried to pull it out, but it doesnt feel like it will come out. thought i would get a bit of advice as i dont want to make my job any harder. also i need to replace the radiator and i have a vr radiator that is the old brass style it is considerably thicker than the one that came out of my car just wondering if this one will fit in with out too much screwing around?

i had alook at other posts with the fuel lines stuff and i could only find people aksing about how to remove them from the firewall, nothing on what to do when u screw up and cut them off lol:bang:
    Thanks.

hmmm i don't know if VR and VS radiators have the same mounts, but it should be pretty obvious is you pop the bonnet on both. The VS radiator is very easy to remove - just pull off the hoses, undo the clips on each side and lift it out, there are 2 prongs on the bottom that locate in 2 holes in the support panel. Does that sound the same as the VR ?

The radiator will fit if it is out of a VR - they have the same mounts, however you say it is made of brass - it may then be a heavy duty custom unit as they all were aluminium from the factory.
Re the fuel lines you need a quick release tool from supercheap etc...see this link: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...97/26672-how-do-i-take-my-fuel-lines-off.html
If you cut you fuel line with a hacksaw or disc you will have to make sure you remove any metal particles from the lines otherwise they will stuff the injectors. Join the ends with high pressure fuel line and Jubille clips.

Not to rag on you but seriously, what were you thinking when you decided to 'just cut the fuel lines off'??
How did you intend on rectifying this before you decided to post question??
