Thinking I’ll get it towed back to my shed so I can take it out and work on it properly, stuck in a uni car park atm.

Update

I’ve checked the error codes while waiting for the tow truck and I’ve either got error code 33 or 22 (flashes are a bit misleading)

But these error codes are: 33- MAP sensor voltage too high (> 4.00 v). Possible vacuum leak to sensor or faulty sensor.

22: Throttle pos sensor below .2 volt for 2 seconds while engine running

I’ve changed the throttle positions sensor recently but don’t see why that would be the problem
Any help would be much appreciated

I think the TPS would not stop the engine from running. It would cause problems more so with acceleration.

Any ideas on how to check the map sensor and vacuum lines?

After checking all sensors and lines and resetting the ecu, I’ve got error 12- everything is fine
I heard somewhere the fuel pump doesn’t give an error code?

Nope code won't pop up for dead f/pump.

Should be able to hotwire pump on by bridging pins to see if it works...most other things if they fail car will run in limp mode.

So with the tank out of the tub I can definitely hear the pump prime, the lines are the right way around. I think in my effort to twist the pump back in it’s come undone from the end of the pump to it’s hose (inside the tank) so it’s pumping fuel but not out of the tank. Do you think that sounds like the problem?

Update

Turns out the slip on joiner from the pump to the metal hard line inside the tank had deteriated enough so the pump was picking up fuel but spraying it back into the tank
Some 5/16 line and two hose clamps fixed it right up
Starts up just fine now, bit of noise in the engine bay but that’s just an oil change away from being sorted out
