Check your IAC (Idle Control) device on the throttle body, sounds like it is stuffed, or clogged up with a lot of crap. Try cleaning it with throttle body cleaner, and make sure that the electrical connections are clean, dry and secure.

If you start the car without the idle control connected, it idles at 2000rpm, so it sounds like it is faulty. Also check your ECU for fault codes, and see if one has been stored.
