hi ppl, i have a vs i got it for christmas, its over heating i took the thermo out to try ane help only that back fired on me, the fan is not coming on i replaced the thermo with a new one still no change. i put the air con on and the fan come on. i replaced the fuses under the bonet plz can some one give me some more advise to try thanks

Remove the temperature sensor wiring from the temp sensor at the front of the engine,its the multiple wire one for the ECU that has to be removed,not the single wire temp gauge one,and then start the engine.The cooling fan should start to rotate on low speed 12 seconds after the engine is started,then after a further 6 seconds the fan should switch to high speed.If the fan does this,the cooling fan and its systems are working fine.
