VS Immobiliser Drama...

    a mate (soon to be ex mate!) insisted he could bypass the immboliser on my VS due to an engineering fault. My key became decoded and my mate came round, removed the green flashing light under my ignition and cut the wires. he said to wait 45-60 mins and the car would start. it didn't. can i reconnect the wires and try something else or is my only option now to tow it to holden? i've seen some suggestions on the forum relating to battery disconnection and leaving the key in the on position for 45 mins but not sure if they are relevant given that the wires have been cut on my vehicle... ANY help would be appreciated!

    That green flashing light sounds like an aftermarket immobiliser/alarm....not the factory one. Cutting the wires to it will do nothing I'd guess. Normally the flashing red light for the factory immobiliser is located just under the radio. You can bypass the factory immobiliser with the method your mate suggested, but as I mentioned it sounds like yours is aftermarket. Towing to Holden will not achieve anything....I'd reconnect the wires and then try the 45-60-min trick. Hope I've given you the correct info as my daughter is using my Commodore of late.
