VE SV6 manual
Hi everyone,

Having an issue with my VS. It appears to be in limp mode with engine light on. I brought the car a year ago from a bloke that said it needed new A&B solenoids.

I changed both A&B solenoids aswell as new trans filter and fluid.

The light is still on and it wont take off in 1st when its in D. Also kinda sluggish taking off in 3, but better than it was before the solenoid replacement!

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Give it an error code check. Search for it.

or maybe undo the battery to clear the old codes if you have not done that before

Don't go undoing the battery, you will need to reset the security code if OEM radio etc, just pop the engine fuse out and back in.

I had a similar problem, turned out to be as simple as a corroded connector, sending the wrong signals. I had 4 error codes, including the solenoids. I fixed the connector, but it was still in limp mode. Soooo.. check the fuses.. the corroded connector had blown all the relevant fuses.

Sometimes it can be the simplest things..
