ok so i have recently got a VS V6... or lexcen if you may. anyway it runs like a bag of **** to say the least. when i got it the firing order was wrong. fixed that up made it a bit better but it still has a miss and it struggles to start, if you go near the accelerator as soon as she is started it will stall. i also have a feeling the alternator is shot because the battery never lasts have to keep charging it. and it does not fire properly on all the drivers side pistons. any ideas what to do to improve her?
For starters, a good service, change the engine oil and filter, replace the fuel filter and air filter, replace the engine coolant. Replace the spark plugs and plug leads and the 3 ignition coils, as these can all start to fail with age and cause problems..Injectors can be an issue too if theyre old and dirty, so maybe try some injector cleaner, or better still, replace them, have a look on ebay for cheap brand new injectors, dont waste money on buying remanufactured/ reconditioned injectors, or getting the old ones cleaned etc, for the best results, go with brand new ones.
