Just fitted my level 3 cluster into my VS. It was out of a VR Calais. Wiring mods and installation were a cinch. not bad for a $40 conversion!

Loving the trip computer options and the fuel consumption display! I havent really sat down and fully sussed it yet. Just a few questions that i have need answers though...

before i go further, i know there probably already are threads for my questions.. but my search option isnt working right now for some reason.. Any way, the questions!

    - Is there some sort of master reset that i should do to 'zero' all the calibrations to my car? (seems pretty accurate though. reads 10.3 L/100km, spot on with my own calculations from fill to fill)

    - Are there any other useful options that i can play with?

    - The temp and fuel gauges seem to be REALLY lazy. Fuel flicks up after the mandatory thump on the dash, but temp seems to hover just below the 1st line. fair lower then on my L2 dash. am i meant to add a resistor or something, somewhere??

    - To change the illumination colour, what bulbs exactly do i have to change?

So yeah, its all definitely worth it.. apart from the 246 xxx km on the odo! my car has 156 xxx!!

    any imput is appreciated

Illumination colour comes from the fascia panel with its tint. The lights are white. You can either purchase a new fascia for it, which you can have made up with different designs etc. Might be some people selling them on here but ebay normally carries them. Other people have used bright blue leds to drown out the green. Have a search around for examples of the two.

And you can get the odometer reading changed by someone who repairs instrument clusters.

    I wanna do this to with a lvl 3 250km/h GTS/senator cluster though I can`t
seem to get around the wiring part as most (aka..all) of it goes over my head though I may eventualy get it. did you use the connections from the other car (calais or stato) like the trip computer connection and LCD connection. and then splice them? you should do a write up for stiffs like me.

Problem with ebay is they still go for high prices. Most of the time around $150 for the cluster. I could probably get it cheaper through a wrecker locally.

You see the thing about ebay is... You bid... And the prices go UP... Especially at the end of the auction... :p

Plus some fair dodge examples. Number 1 unsure of km's, unsure if it even works! Add $18 for postage.

Number 2... Pickup only... "vr/vs vp statseman calias berlina dashboard" er... Over 300,000km's on it and it's out of a VQ so its no good for VR/VS anyway.

Number 3...Currently at $75 including postage with 8 days left. Once again out of a VN, so no good for VR/VS. Unknown km's as well.

So there is only 1 there that will fit a VR/VS and it might not even work.

Good call mate. Not one of them is really suitable. Oh well, I keep an eye out. I'll find something eventually.

Something without bleeds would be good cos the LCD displays are hard to come by themselves. Unless it's rediculously cheap but even then I would rather a full working one. Thanks anyway.
