Hey guys my names Shaun. I've got a manual vs commodore and the gearbox is rooted. It's a cable clutch. I was wondering what options on manual gearboxes do I have to replace it with? Hope someone can help. Thankyou in advance!
There's two types for vr vs one is hydraulic wich was the getrag gearbox the cable clutch type was a t5 borg Warner gearbox
No prob easiest way to tell 100% sure is once removed it will say Borg Warner it's the t5 that's the sure way to tell
Nope not at all all the gearbox where the same same bolt patter same shift pattern same plug connections as long as its the same as your meaning Borg Warner or getrag those where the only two if the ute is a Colum shift then ther may be difference as long as it Is the normal floor shift it can work from sedan ute wagon is fine
Just stick with the t5 they're 500x cheaper in every way why don't u do a reco exchange have seen them for t5 for under $1000!
