vs manual to auto conversion

I have a 97 vs manual ute am wanting to convert it to an auto as I have someone that can't drive a manual i just need to know what wiring I need to do so I know I will need the computer.....but am unsure wether the box wiring and auto wiring is different or dash wiring please help

Sell your manual one and buy an auto you might even make money

Yeah, the manuals are usually worth more.

But if you want to do it, I found the auto wiring was already in my VR Ute. So you just have to change the box, pedal box, T shifter, Front part of tailshaft, Auto ECU (and matching BCM) and engine loom.

Way easier and probably cheaper to just buy an auto ute.

Yeah I would but way to much crap to pull of it.....but looks like I will have to do the hard yards on it
I wonder if I get a tail shaft from a auto I have done a shaft before and what a pain in the arse...

Yeah, the front half of the tailshaft (attached to the auto) is what you need. Or get one from a Statesman as they are the same. Probably easiest to just get a wrecked car and transplant the engine/box combo and all the extra bits into it.

Would be easier and cheaper to teach this person to drive a manual. Everyone should be made to learn in a manual.

The only reason that a person shouldnt be able to drive a manual is if they havent got the ability to use thier legs

The reason they don't drive a manual is they have had knee surgery and cant use the clutch pedal
