Engine missfire around 1600 to 1800 rpm under light load. Fuel system has been completely cleaned(tank out & cleaned, fuel lines flushed). Leads have been replaced, injectors have been cleaned. Generally behaves for 1,000 to 1,500 klms after new fuel filter installed then problem comes back. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Chris, when you take out the old filter is it clean? or full of crap?

And what fuel are you using? Do you always get it from the same outlet?

Those are questions if it is related to the fuel system and not just a coincidence that it behaves after a filter change. If it is the case it sounds to me like somethings breaking down, maybe a filter screen etc or just really bad fuel.

I would......

-change the filter(not with a Valvoline item) and inspect.
-Replace your fuel regulator (if it hasnt been already)
- Run it on BP Ultimate.

Then see how you go, if the problem persists start thinking spark.

Jake.
