ok sometimes when I turn left or when I steer hard, usually at low speeds, there is a slight flushing noise, as if liquid was moving around somewhere in the front. My first thoughts are the power steering rack?? anyone have any ideas?
As long as the power steering fluid level is OK there is nothing simple to adjust etc if the problem lies there. It could also be water trapped in the airconditioner and unable to escape due to blocked drains or it could be air trapped in the heater element - both make a noise similar to the one you describe......and a lot cheaper to fix. Good Luck.
Well my heating unit doesn't heat up, it does get nice and cool but doesn't heat up...I've been meaning to check the heater tap and all that gear but haven't got around to it...
You'll find the heater just needs bleeding of air - do this by turning the heater to maximum, start the engine and undo the bleeder screw mounted on top of the thermostat housing. You may need to repeat this over a few days to remove all the trapped air. Good Luck.
Should do if that's your problem - from the description you've given it should be. Check the link I've given below as it describes your problem and the fix. Good Luck. http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...993-1997/85814-noise-coming-heater-vents.html
For those people having the same problem, this is the bleed valve - open it up to let the excess air out, and bleed the system.
