By any chance would anyone have the wiring diagram for a VS Series 3.
Or more specifically the circuit to do with Fuse 9. Its the Reverse light circuit which also apparently does the "purge canister", which actually doesn't use wiring.

Holden didn't keep the S3 wiring the same as the other versions which is causing a bit of a headache in chasing an earth short fault.
Reverse circuit being fine, but whatever else Holden tapped off it from factory is causing a short to ground.

Any info is appreciated.

Sorry, the purge canister is to do with the part at the back of the motor, it is to do with the "purge solenoid".

Just chasing any other info related to wiring info on that fuse 9 circuit specific to the series 3
Or a wiring diagram of the series 3, because its different to all others.

Well, I have been given the solution to the fuse 9 issue incase anyone else needs it in the future.
The Auto Elecs got the series 1, 2 and 3 wiring diagrams from Holden
Fuse 9 does do the reverse lights and the Purge Solenoid at the rear of the engine, However it does 1 other thing.

It goes up behind the dash, and goes into the abyss. But what it does isn't known.
Holden couldn't figure out what it did when they were quizzed on the diagram.
Next step was going to be fully pulling apart the centre section and chasing it out manually but it wasn't worth it.
So it got cut, tidied up and tested to ensure nothing else is effected. Which so far so good.

All the diagrams I have, show the same setup for any VS, V6 and V8.

Fuse 9 powers reverse light circuit, evap purge solenoid, oxygen sensor heaters, plus an ignition connection to the PCM.

So to follow up on the solution. And to what was done.
Incase others stumble across this in the future with a similar problem.
Good Diagrams can be found on PCM hacking. with many good diagrams needing to be searched as "PCM Diagram" as wiring diagrams do not always show all the info (as was found out).

Yes Fuse 9 does Reverse lights, Oxy Sensor heaters, the EGR PCM feed (fused ignition feed to PCM) and the Purge Solenoid canister.

As the VS doesn't have the EGR equipment that isn't exactly needed.
Oxy Sensor heaters could be useful, but they also do naturally heat up when driven.

So the Wiring was cut so the Reverse lights and Purge Solenoid still works. yet the other 2 items are not in service (pcm and heaters)
I am still yet to be bothered to test if the Oxy Sensor heaters (4 wire system) have shorted to earth, but that may have been the culprit. However if the sensors get changed the wiring is still there to test and connect up.
