Commodore VS Series 2 Wagon
Hello,
I bought a low '96 KM VS Series 2 Wagon. Fantastic overall condition BUT the indicator won't self cancel. The previous owner had the same problem and threw in a stork which he said also does not self cancel. Any ideas?

This is a simple situation which has the cancelling cam on the back of the steering wheel failing. In Holden's wisdom they changed from a sturdy one fitted on the VR to a flimsy one which is well known to break. All that needs to be done is to remove the wheel and push out the broken one and replace it with the earlier VR unit and you'll never have an issue ever again.

You will "NOT" require another steering wheel, that's a certainty.

there is a bit on the bottom of the steering wheel itself that has broken off, need a new/another steering wheel

Agree with the above, will be cheaper to buy a second hand steering wheel from a backyard wrecker.

I might have the part you require. I have a spare wheel that I chopped up for some horn pad posts. I just need to see if I still have it.

where about is ersl located ? that's probably the best question.

Depending on that outcome is what it's really going to be all about costwise and parts availability.
