This is a simple situation which has the cancelling cam on the back of the steering wheel failing. In Holden's wisdom they changed from a sturdy one fitted on the VR to a flimsy one which is well known to break. All that needs to be done is to remove the wheel and push out the broken one and replace it with the earlier VR unit and you'll never have an issue ever again.

You will "NOT" require another steering wheel, that's a certainty.

I think I have mentioned it before, the cancel cams are out of stock from holden. I think used to be about $14. I have seen people advertise online for up to $400 for them. May be rare spares will come out with a repo.

I made my own out of plastic plumbing pipe in 2015. Still works !
