Hi All '97 VS Series 2 Tranny suddenly has no Reverse and No 4th 1-2-3 are OK, but changes are a little rough Was really good before this Last tranny service Jan-2012 Done 5000 Km since that service Fluid level correct and clean Long weekend, can't get it to a workshop till Tuesday Suggestions ?
Had 100% exactly the same about 6 months ago.....I figured the sunshell had sheared (again). Then the car started to slip badly and I just managed to get it into a position where I could jack it up and replace transmission. Fitted a 2nd hand unit ($600 + oil/gasket/filter) - these are Toowoomba prices...the big smoke will be cheaper. I wasn't prepared to muck around trying to fix it as it takes time and money...like $2K for a reco. I never pulled the old box down to check if it was indeed the sunshell failing but whatever it was it would cost more than a 2nd hand box to fix it up.
