VS speed alert readout faulty

Hey guys I am having issues with my speed alert readout, It doesnt display the whole number on the screen. from the left as looking at the display the first number (or the 1) doesnt display at all the middle number only displays a few parts or the digit and the last number displays the full digit being either a 5 or a 0. The actual alert itself works, i checked this by setting the alert to the lowest possible speed and going for a drive round the block, it beeps and the led flashes so i think it must be something to do with displaying the numbers that is buggered. If anyone can help with both diagnosing the problem and then a way to fix it that would be great..... as i would like to do that neat little trick to make it a digital speedo :thumbsup: Thanks in advance to anyone with suggestions.

At a guess I'd say someone has pushed on the display which buggers the LCD. Easiest fix would be one from a wrecker or you could pull the old one out and play with it...maybe the connector at the rear is loose but that would be unusual.
