I just drove my husbands VS. It stalled while I was turning into a drive way. Luck escape as a car driving far to quick slammed on brakes to avoid hitting me. Also stalled while going around round abouts and while going from one street to another in an S shape bend. Any ideas what it could be?

Could be the power steering pump loading up when turned plus the IAC (idle air control) not picking the revs up. What should happen is when you turn the steering wheel additional load is placed on the power steering pump which then places its load on the engine. This will make the revs drop and the IAC is designed to raise the revs back to where they should be. If the IAC doesn't work properly the revs are not raised and the engine stalls. They can be cleaned with care but usually if they are glugged up the throttle body also will need cleaning. Try doing a search on "cleaning TB and IAC"

VS11Berlina67 could also be correct - you can check for fault codes in the "how to" section of this forum.....one may have been logged.

    what was your fuel level?

if it was half - full you can pretty much rule out a fuel pump (more like a fuel return line) problem, if it was under half - nearly empty i'd say that you would most likely have a fuel pump issue, someimes the return line in the tank can pop off, 99% of the time when a pump is replaced, when you corner the fuel in the "swirlpot" exits the "swirlpot" just like that melways sliding across the back seat.

If no fuel is comming back via the return line and into the swirlpot is may be a few moments before the fuel in the tank flows back into the swrilpot and thus, the car is starved and dies.

Thats what I read on here anyway,a nd that is my understanding of it, there is an awsome thread on it with pictures and everything
