VS to VY diff conversation

Hey all,

read a lot of arrivals and Havant had a confirmed answer, am I able to put a VY SS commodore diff in a VS V6 commodore, I know I’ll have to change the yoke but will it bolt up and use the same axles, the reason I want to do this is because the VY diff I have has an lsd in it

VY is M80 and VS is M75.
So new housing is physically bigger, but yes it can be fitted to your car.
Immortality will hopefully chime in soon to confirm exactly what is required.
From my memory of reading others do it (as I haven't done this conversion myself) the stock cradle and half shafts are used. But I could quite easily be wrong on that.

You have IRS in your VS?

Immortality would tell you it bolts straight in to an IRS VS. Just the flange needs to be changed as you mentioned
