HSV enhanced 1998 Vs series 2 ute
Hi I have a vs ute says hsv enhanced in a few spots but hsv can’t find it on there systems but it has all hsv parts cluster intake body kit with maloo sailplane it says it’s a 1998 series 2 v6 on the identification plate but rev checks says it’s a 1999 series 2 S but refer to engine number which means it’s been converted to v8 at one stage I don’t know if this was done factory or after but looks professional I’m just wondering what do I go by the tag on the car or revs check and why are they both different can anyone help a year I’ve been trying to research this

Number under windscreen is identity of car/chassis number which is what rego papers & rms will have in system.

Car has been rebulit or messed with just by pics it has vr/s maloo kit,vt wheels & vu/x seats yet you mention it's a v6....quite easy to put hsv parts on from another car being 20+ years old.

First check all tags match to the chassis number & rego papers.

If hsv don't have it on record then it's not a hsv...should have hsv enhanced tag in engine bay even if it only got suspension package.
