Thanks wozza. I read through heaps of threads on here about it. I know my ute kicks them in at just over a third. Doesn t bother me too much. Seems every car is different. The VT, VX and my other VS that i had as a teenager all behaved like my ute does currently. Never going over a third in temp. Anything reading over half kinda freaks me out.
One day if im game ill let it heat up more and see if they turn on

New tie rod ends and a new water pump on the way for the ute.
I have a new belt tensioner, engine mounts and CAS sitting here aswell.
I also got my mate a set of cresent spanners.
Kinda a present but first time they will be used are on my Ute haha.
Didn t drive it for over a week while it sat at my work yard. Felt good getting in it again.
Actually looking forward to getting these new bits bolted on.
The list my mechanic mate gave me is all checked off now. I reckon we ll find some more stuff when we get back underneath it again.

Yeap, older vehicles usually need a little more work but between maintenance and preventive maintenance help them drive nice and hopefully relatively trouble free make them enjoyable

So had a prouctive morning so far. Swapped the strut brace off the silver bullet to the ute.
Dont like red bits in engine bay unless the car is black. So i painted the mounts black.

On a side note i saw this absolute shocker of a car. Wouldn t let my dog sit in it.

Now that's nice to know, gives some peace of mind. I'm still liking the look of that car.
Good to see you're got some nice weather down there now after the hammering you're been coping lately
