If it is cranking, but slow to fire, it could be fuel rail draining. Maybe when you installed the new pump, the pulsation damper is not a tight fit to the pump and fuel dribbles out. Have you tried priming the pump a few times?

It cranks over perfectly fine but instead of it starting straight up when u turn it over you have to sit there and hold it for a bit probably like 5 seconds roughly I'm gonna try changing the fuel filter and hopefully that fixes it
Make sure the fuel pump is pre-charging when you turn the ignition on. You should here it whir up and then stop a few seconds later. See below for a few more steps.
