Have to check on them other things you said like Pulse dampener and standard regulator

They are standard the Pulse dampener and standard regulator should I upgrade the fuel pump and Pulse dampener and standard regulator

No need to upgrade. I was just trying to get an idea of specifics on the setup.

Pull vac line off the back of the reg and check it isn't wet with fuel.
Pull plugs and check it's not running pig rich on shut down or on cold start

Ok I'll get new throttle body sensor , map sensor , O2 sensor , and a ob2 scan tool and let you know how I go
No use buying an OBD II scan tool for a VS, it won't work.

Yeah it is wet on that vaccum regulator and pulled plugs don't seem to be fuel in bores ,

I changed spark plugs little while ago made a difference but came back the same stumble , on take of

I have ordered another fuel pump and will be looking at hoses in tank and fuel lines next week ,

Hi to all , main problem is each time the tank drops below quarter of tank , I start it up and sounds like back firing and pinging then takes of and goes hard ,
sounds like the intank return line to the venturi jet on swirl pot is leaking/broken and not filling the swirl pot properly so your pump is sucking fuel/air and system is not up to required fuel pressure when the pump primes up.
