ok without bridging remove the power from the fuel pump where it connects to tank, bridge the two wires, go under and check with a mutltimetre tester and see if ur getting 12 volts, then remove the bridge and see if there is still power, if there is no power after bridging then there is another issue ur facing, i suggest take it to an auto elec if u have no power down thereafter bridging at the fuse box

check the voltage @ the fuel pump plug (bridge the relay points) could be a dodgy earth and not enough voltage at the pump. Quicker and easier than pulling the pump out.

You've had the lines dixconnected in the engine bay, no chance you've got the in/out line mixed up?
