I need some clarification as i have been given conflicting answers.. My VS v6 has a T5 manual conversion in it, still using auto ecu and loom. It has been tuned up and auto functions in the computer have been disabled in the tune. but one error remains (speed sensor), for obvious reasons. Therefore when i pull up to lights and clutch it, the IAC looses the plot (i.e idle almost stalls, then kicks up 2000rpm+ then comes back down) this was made worse since i installed a cam. my tuner is fantastic and he has tried his best to lessen the 'flare' through adjusting IAC steps.. but its not good enough. I have decided to just be done with it and fit a manual ecu. nows my next dillema. my tuner reckons: i only need a VS ecu that has manual circuitry. apparently some ecu's tagged as 'AUT' also have manual circuitry?? a mate reckons: i just need a memcal for a manual? another mate says: all VS ecu's have manual circuitry? (then wouldnt my tuner know that??) My questions: do i necessary need a man loom? ecu? memcal? What is the best way around it? PLEASE help
its all due to the vs auto vss being 3 wire and manual being 2 wire and the wiring being different this is where it all begins both auto and manual use the 728 ecu maybe just a manual bin and wiring change will sort it out
i got a police ecu, the taxi ecu also works, doctor bob made a chip for my conversion (disabled the auto stuff etc), but you still need to run the wires from the manual vss to the ecu. forgotten which pins, pretty sure a search would show it. ps. dont buy the getrag ecu, doesnt work
thanks for the replies... Can you advise/ direct me a bit here delcowizzid? auto wiring stuff is not my forte :whistling by any chance do you have pics of what has to be wired into what fitzy? some links to useful pages would be handy if is not too much trouble?
surely theres a few guys on here who can help with the wiring side of things i could find out where they go if you really want me too.ill have a dig round and see what i come up with
