VS SPac Ute V6
Just finished an engine swap on a vs ute. Took the v6 and tranny out of a 96 Berlina sedan and put it into my 96 ute. Had the car running yesterday and it suddenly cut out while driving around the paddock. The car has spark and the fuel pump is working but the injectors aren't pulsing (checked with a multimeter). I try and check the error codes by bridging the diagnostic pins but nothing happens.

Any help?

I wouldn't be relying on a multimeter to check injector pulse, they are not quick enough.
You need an LED test light, or a noid light to check it properly.

When you say nothing happens when you bridge the connector, do you mean you get no engine light, or it just flashes code 12?
If you've got no engine light, check that the plug under the dash on the engine harness hasn't come apart.

Hello team,
Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem?
We have a VS Acclaim V6 Ecotec auto here. We've confirmed fuel to injectors, spark, however no injector pulse (checked with a node light, and checked node light on another running VS essentially the same). When we squirt 'Start Ya Bastard' into intake, and it fires. We've already tried a different bcm & key, put three different VS V6 auto ECUs in too. All make no difference. Any ideas?

We're going to be parting out a good car shortly, if it can't run. It's straight, rust free, excellent trim.

This might sound stupid. When you use a noid light to diagnose the injectors it does not tell you if you lost power or ground. Make sure you have constant power to each injector. One pin is 12V source with key on and the ground signal side is what the computer "pulses" to do it's work.
