Hi All,

1/ Do any of you have a VS runnning on LPG?

2/ How does it go?

3/ Will it affect my extarctors also?

I was quoted $2750 from the GasMan in Sydney. It is the Impco air valve system. There seems to be no Gas injection systems around for pre 2004 cars.

Thx for the feedback :D ,

Cheers
Struggo

cant answer 1 or 2, but i dont see why it should affect your extracters at all...

Theres gas injection setups for pre 2004 cars, try ringing a few other places. Your looking at around an extra $1000 - $1500 for one.

Hi Danielsan,

I can't find any in Sydney, below are my responses from various LPG installers,

1/ The GASMAN-IMPCO AIR VALVE SYSTEM

Regarding your enquiry concerning converting a Holden VS Commodore sedan to LPG, a dual fuel conversion will cost $2750 inc GST and involves the fitting of a 68 usable litre tank in the boot space. This conversion takes approximately 1 working day to complete.

Converting a Holden VR Commodore Sedan to dual fuel will cost $2550 inc GST and involves the fitting of a 68 usable litre gas cylinder in the boot space. This conversion will take approximately 1 working day to complete.

At the moment we are booked up until the end of February so we have decided to hold off taking any more booking at this time. On the first of December we will be re-opening our books and taking booking for March onwards.

For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us here at
the Gas Man.

2/ Gas Injection Technologies Pty Ltd.

Thanks for your enquiry; unfortunately at the moment we do not have any retail product available. We have largely completed the research and beta testing, and are at the commercialisation stage. We are actively looking for investors who would like to join in the team to make this product a commercial success. If you have any investment contacts I would be happy to explore opportunities for involvement.

I'm afraid we haven't finalised pricing as yet but we will be competitive against other injection systems.

3/ Parnell LP Gas Systems Enquiry

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the time you have taken to send us an e-mail requesting further information and pricing about converting your vehicle to LPG. Unfortunately, at the moment we are not in a position to assist with converting your vehicle to LPG as we have not developed a kit for this application. Given the recent announcement by the Federal Government our product and company resources are being stretched beyond our capabilities and as a consequence we will not be in a position to assist until further notice. If you would like to further discuss the situation with me please contact our office during business hours Monday to Friday 8.00 - 4.30 EST.

Regards
Mark Somers

Hi Strugo, the only thing i can suggest is ring some installers not the suppliershere and see if they will do a gas injection setup. Most probably wont as there isnt one specifically designed for the vs.
i had the same issue getting mine on gas. i rang the suppliers and they all said no, then i rang 15 installers with the answer being no, lucky #16 said yep no worrys we can do it.

an arm and two legs :p
$4500..... not cheap, but well worth it, couple of little things that need fixing (as mine was the first L67 gas injection setup they've done) but you'ld need a dyno to tell the diffrence in power.
