Yeah I replaced my sender recently in my Berlina. When I pulled the old one out it was considerably shorter than the one Holden sold me. I put it in anyway, and normal running temperature was just over 1/2 compared to just over 1/4 that every commodore I have ever driven runs at. Went to Holden and showed them the shorter sender and they got one in the same and when I fitted it, the temperature was back down at just over 1/4 at running temperature.

What I can't say is whether the longer sender was faulty or whether it was the wrong type.
