Hey,

I just thought I'd check and eliminate the spark from the coil pack plugs.
And I find that number 2 terminal on the coil packs doesn't have any spark.
I swapped to a spare coil pack and now number 2 has spark. There's still a miss.
Although it has spark, it's not as constant as terminal 5. Similar colour purply marone I'd call it.
I'm thinking it's the dfi module.

Im being borrowed an aldl cable at some stage to log error codes.
Hopfully that may tell a story.

Haven't done a compression test yet

Pete

Went out the other day, went through come home, started car.. and it koncked out.
I'd had this before, so off home to grab my other cars dfi module, and this remedeed the problem at the moment.
Don't buy one from NZ Holden, $500+ lol...
Who can we trust via eBay?

Place in Melbourne sell OEM parts on ebay I brought coil packs and sensors from them, never had a problem, so many fakes on ebay so be careful. Glade your getting some where, DFI and coil pack along with the harness is usual suspect when it comes to missing, along with plugs and leads, my car has blown a few air boxes as its on gas, usual suspect spark plug.
If you have a weak spark then it causes corrosion which often leads to other problems on that line like plug and lead failure.

That add is misleading, the pic says original equipment but the brand in the description is PEC Aussie when a genuine ignition module is Delphi like this one.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine...574804&hash=item33f100a1d2:g:bOAAAOSwThtbY5Wx
I know the genuine brand is Delphi my point was that I have had no issue with their products or this seller, yes they might of made a typo error but I know they also sell Delphi and their OEM quality parts not cheap crap from china.

It's a big no no when it comes to advertising and it's not the first time I've seen it from them either.

Oh well, take time out and write to them and explain your concerns, all I'm saying is I trust their products haven't had one bad experience from them, touch wood. Maybe they using genuine coils with a PEC DFI, I would ask them first before buying to clear it up.

Haven't had a issue, are you sure you order the right thing, they would of asked you to return it before sending out the correct item, not knowing what u brought and what you received doesn't help far as I know you didn't read the page and just brought it. If a item states genuine and it has their brand on the description box I would first ask. Sounds like you didn't want to follow there procedure and got upset with them, not many just send out another item until they first received the wrong item back to many have been burnt by peoples promises. I've talked to these guys direct by phone and they said if its not compatible just send it back for a refund or they would ship out a different one once they receive back the item.

When an advert says genuine in big bold letters you shouldn't need to go looking through all the fine print to find out it's actually not. Buying items sight unseen relies a great deal on the seller been honest with the description of the goods. I've used them once but never again.

Its genuine to them who make it, doesn't state a name but it does have their logo in picture so its not misleading, like I said they do sell Delphi, read the description before you buy. Does it say Holden or Delphi No, besides that there products haven't failed me, if you look on their page they do list known brands in picture, its up to you like I say never had a issue with their OEM replacement parts. What's not to say it is genuine and they put the wrong brand in the description, if your not sure then contact them.
If you made me something then that is the genuine item is it not.

genuine meaning,
authentic, true, actual, bona fide, original, veritable, unadulterated, pure, unmixed, undisguised, unerring, official, certified, verified, confirmed, whole, accurate, proved, tested, ascertained, good, natural, unimpeachable, unquestionable, authenticated, substantial, unalloyed, factual, demonstrable, palpable, ...

I ordered the right thing I even sent them a copy of my eBay purchased item to prove it, they sent me a non genuine product instead of the genuine one I purchased and said they couldn't do it for the price I paid, and if I wanted the genuine one I would have to pay $120 more, if you can't sell genuine ones for that price then don't advertise them as genuine, they got upset with me because I caught them out as most people wouldn't know the difference, so don't say I didn't read it properly because you have no ******* clue.

Well you didn't read it right, it says clear as day in the info box brand- PEC.
Does it work? was there a issue with it? The price would be a dead give away its aftermarket, pays to read before you buy. Its their product so there for genuine to them if it was a different brand it would of said Delphi like there coils they selling.

I will say that many ebay sellers use the word "Genuine" very flippantly and it's ones own interpretation of what Genuine means.

Of course the buyers always thinks that genuine means it is the manufacturers OEM brand of item, while the sellers uses the word to suck buyers in and uses the word in a round about way to mean it is a genuine DFI module which of course we can all see it's a DFI module.

One has to look for the terminology "Genuine OEM" or "Genuine Holden made Part" etc. It's much the same as "Free Postage" which doesn't exist as it's always factored into the end price.

So what have we learnt ??

"There's no such thing as a Free Lunch", FACT.

In the end some people only see what they want to see and then scream blue murder when it's not what they thought. Some just never learn and merely shop only on price and not comparing apples with apples.

The item I purchased stated it was a genuine OEM Bosch product with Bosch part number for $280, then they send you a $135 knock off they sell instead like I said you have no clue.
