Vs v6 seen better days

1997 Holden vs v6
Hi guys I'm new to this forum I have a 1997 vs v6 acclaim sedan it has a abs off light on the dash iv changed the rear sensors and also the front leads going to the sensors in the hub and there is no change still the light is on should I be looking at the module next?

Have you tried reading codes with the paperclip trick ?

Can't do that on a 97 from memory.

Ok if I can't do the paperclip trick any idea what my next step should be?
The relay in the module has likely failed can be fixed if you know what you're doing or just replace the module.

Oh I thought 96 on when they changed to the series three computer it was scan tool diag only. Must be mistaken. But the complexity probably renders flash codes useless on the series three any way.

There's no "series 3" VS ECU (or even series 1 or 2. Series 3 5L on the other hand, and even then not all of them were roller blocks). All the VSs used the same ECU like for like for each engine/trans combo, they all use the same ALDL and OBD, there's no extra complexity. There weren't really even any new features in the VT V6/5L ECU outside of the garbage security features they added.
