Is a VS bonnet the same as a VR bonnet? I am having a bastard of a time getting the paint right due to the cold, its just ruined again, bubbled and cracked. I'm sick of painting it and it currently looks terrible. I assume the emblem is different and maybe the shade of white? If it is just the emblem I can deal with that.

Issue resolved. I rubbed out the paint and re-hit it again. However this time i made a little partial boxed area and run the fan heater while spraying, heaps better.

Thanks Deuce, I messaged the wrecker about the VS bonnet they but I still haven't heard back, must be busy. If the price is right I may still buy it anyway. From what I remember it was almost perfect. Time I paint mine in full a whole replacement might be the go. Gotta cut and buff either way. At least I figured out why the paint went to ****, the air in Tas is too cold. It's no wonder you see panel shops with wood heaters smoking or diesel heaters going, which ever they have. I know now I will need a couple of blow heaters going if I decide to do the entire bonnet before summer.

Hi Losh,

There are 2 whites used in VS, Alaskan and Heron, the latter came in in early 1997 and was used until the end of VF production, also having 7 variants.

But as Deuce suggested the bonnets themselves are identical apart from the "shield badge" being superseded to the new aggressive lion unit.

Vr vt
Nah. The vs has bigger twin stream windscreen washer nozzles. The vr has smaller single stream nozzles.

Different nozzle holes.

If the only difference was the washer nozzles, so what? Very easy to address.
