Gidday. Wanna swap VS II V6 engine with VT V6. I wanna do it myself. Mechanic quoted $900 and said he has to take out steering rack. I had a look at workshop manual (they dont make good ones like they used to) and it doesnt mention this. It says to remove engine and tranny as one unit. Any advice?
Also he said that A/C compressor pulley is larger on VT. I had myVS compressor checked out and dye came out from pulley seal. Can I repair it or do I replace it. The VT has one on it.
