Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone can help me.
Ive not long ago bought a vs wagon, but it has a rattling roof.
When the car is on, the roof tends to vibrate, however as soon as you push on it just behind the drivers seat it stops, it also vibrates it when you drive on a rough bit of road. When you shut the door, it also makes a real tinny noise. At the moment of just got a curtain rod from the floor to the roof which does the job, however its a bit of an eye sore.
Any help would be great.

sounds like the skin is coming away from the frame, take the roof lining off and have a look.

easy to take off and easy to put back on! just undo all the screws holding it up ie the sun visors, grab rails lights etc and plastics if there in the way and it will come down easy.
There is a beam that goes across from one side to the other supporting the roof skin this will prob be what it is rattling on fill the gap up between the roof skin and the cross beam with a car body adhesive sealant, tiger seal etc then give it a couple of hours to go off, put your roof lining back on and all should be well again.

If it is you can also use some sort of silicon sealer , They are glued in on the production line but the adhesive gets brittle and comes unstuck.
