    does anyone know of a thead that explains how to place a windshiled in a vs?

    or can anyone tell me the steps involved?

    The windscreen is bonded to the windscreen opening with a semi-flexible Sikaflex type of sealant and once set the windscreen adds to the stiffness of the body.....so it has to be done correctly. But really, windscreens are available fitted for under $150 if you shop around and have the cash in your hand. I've had installers break new windscreens when fitting and they are experts so I'd never try it myself but thats not saying it's impossible.
