    Hey guys,

What are the major differences between the VR and VS wiring? More the point, how hard would it be to fit a Level 3 wiring loom from a VS into a VR? I can get a complete donor VS cheapish and would like to transfer the entire electical system + interior into my VR.

(BTW its from an auto statesman into a manual exec)

    Cheers

EDIT - Actually, if i want to upgrade the dash to level3 cluster, upgrade to climate control, cruise control etc can i patch into the original VR loom? I dont need to change the engine bay loom, just the interior. Are they compatible?

    Cheers

Dude i'm just in the middle of rebuilding my VS using a VR shell. This is VS V8 manual exec into VR V6 auto exec, and it looks like there are some differences in the types of connectors used, the VR has older style plugs in some areas vs modern grometted plugs from the VS. It's fairly easy to strip the wiring loom out complete and replace though.
