98 commodore ute
Need some knowledge. I came into possession of my late fathers Apl 98 Ute it's a series II. It has no cruise, speed alert etc it's just the standard base model 5 speed i imagine. A guy is selling z dash surround for $40 which has yhe speed alert in it. What I would like to know is would I have a connection plug already in this ute but not utilised for this speed alert or do i have to replace the whole wiring harness of just a section of it.

I think by 1998 the 6 Cyl dash looms were pretty much the same across the base level range of cars as this was already in the VT era and they wouldn't have wanted to make 25 different looms like they did earlier in the production run of VS.

As such I'd say it'll be there behind the fascia to just plug and play.
