I have a rebuilt VX ecotec in my vs running of the vs ecu. i was wondering would putting in a vx ecu improve performance at all or would the vs ecu be okay. if yes how much would i expect to pay for a vx ecu.

for the trouble you'll have with pcm-to-bcm communication (aka, car wont start without the correct pair of pcm and bcm, unless you have the security funtion switched off by a tuner), id say not to bother.
you also wouldnt be able to pick up a VX pcm very cheap anyway, so with those in mind and the fact that it would make little to no difference in the scheme of things id say to just keep the current setup you have.

not sure what you mean by tune up. the delco pcm you have actively learns and adapts in closed circuit mode to run at its best.
so there isnt any way to tune up your VS, like on older carby engines and stuff.
if your after some more get-up-and-go from the VS you can buy a "performance" memcal/chip to replace your stock one. they're re-tuned to give better power and also compliment any significant engine mods that you might have. even on a stock engine they're worth while, you can buy them from quite alot of places these days - i would recommend sending dr bob on this forum a pm about buying a memcal if your interested.
