Vs won’t wind over

Series 2 vs executive won’t wind over from ignition but if I bridge starter motor will wind over but won’t fire any ideas ?

NSS would be my guess.

$55 for a second hand one from local wreckers just last week. Mine would click and even free spun once without engaging. Only issue I had replacing was getting it out past the extractors. Had to jack the motor up to make room.
