VS won't start and blinkers won't turn off.

93 Vs ute. Has 2 keys, one for door and one for ignition. Car stopped mid road but started again so didn't think too much of it. Two days later it happened again and I had to push the car off the road as it wouldn't start. The indicator in the battery wasn't green any more so I assumed it was battery. Changed battery and now the blinkers stay on solid witjout keys in ignition and car won't crank or start.

If the battery died the car will stop Could have a faulty alt. The more common issue would be the NSS but given it stopped mid driving that doesn't point toward that. I'd first run a scan, then depending on the outcome I'd try jumping the NSS.

What and where is this nss and how do I jump it?

I don't think 12 means much. Did you allow time for it to load codes after the 12?
