Car on 2 occassions would not start. First occasion car would just crank over but wouldn't start, let it sit for about 10 minutes and it start very sluggish rough idle then normal.

Second occasion car just cranks over on a couple times it's tried to start but just dies.

I have had previous problems with the CAS which has been replaced on 2 occasions. Did a fault test but came up with no errors. Checked all wires leading to CAS nothing wrong. Checked if any corrosion on connectors to coil pack all clean ( again a previous problem).

Have not been able to hear if file pump primes and never have heard it before. ( mechanics have commented on it in the past on how quiet it is.)

Since I have changed all fuses and relays fuel gauge shows empty and distance to empty is showing 0.0

The amount I have spent on tow trucks on this car is getting beyond a joke.

    Any ideas would be grateful

Commodores need a good battery...if in doubt buy a new one.
If your car will not start after 5 seconds of cranking, you need to stop and figure out why it is not firing......is it no fuel...no spark.... Keep cranking and you are only going to kill the battery.
But my initial thought is that your battery is not up to it.
