hi there I've been trying to figure out what’s wrong with mates 1999 VS ute for the last 2 day's the first problem was that it had no spark which we fixed by replacing that thing under the coil pack's after we did that it would not crank at all there was no noise coming from the solenoid on the starter motor and there was no power going to it, I found that the grey wire on they relay for the starter motor was not earthing so I striped it back a bit and just earthed it onto body and it cranked over but it wouldn't start even though it's got spark and I’m confident that it's got fuel as I can hear the fuel pump working and there's power getting to the injectors. I’ve got know idea why it won't start anymore and any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
checked the fault codes ? The thing under the coil packs is the DFI module. Check the connections are good at the DFI and CAS.
I looked at the fault codes and it came up with 12 so that's fine the CAS was replaced last month, I think the injector's might not be earthing properly as well as the starter motor dose anyone know where the earthing point is for these are.
