VS1 ute with airbags

I have only seen a handful of VS utes with 2 airbags, and they were all series 3. This morning I saw a series 1, 1996 build with 2 airbags. So it was always an option, just that ute buyers then weren't willing to pay for safety? Otherwise it was just another V6 auto with 16" alloys.

Yeap ,my series 1 VS Maloo only has the drivers airbag which was standard for the VS Maloo .
The passengers was an option .

Most utes I've seen only had steering wheel airbag..saw quite a few modified utes with it deleted by owners back in the day for momo wheel

I don't think it was standard in any VS to have passenger air bag, except Stato, maybe Calais?

Acclaim had passenger airbag, but Berlina didn't (for series 2 at least)
