Ok so I`ve checked all post`s here and I`d say VS S1 and SII run`s hot when idling over 5mis onwards (after driving), it gets up to 3/4 before the thermos kick in so my question is what measurements are the temp`s on tacho say whats half eg 180 :flame: degrees anyone know?

At 3/4 temp gauge when the fan cuts in the coolant temp will be 104 deg C ....thats the lo speed and if it gets hotter the hi speed cuts in at 109 deg C.

None - At the moment :)
Is there any way you can make the fan turn on earlier? Say at 95 degrees or half way on the temp dial?

My son's VS did the same when he had it, didn't seem to be a problem though.
Mine has climate control so AC is on all the time and the low speed fan comes on at 1/4 and high speed between 1/4 and 1/2 (about 3/8) but rarely does it ever go over 1/4.

Mine goes right up when sitting in traffic, but comes back down again so i'm not worried about it. rarely drive in traffic anyway.

They are designed to run efficiently with a safety margin at those temperatures - the hotter temperatures mean lower emissions and increased efficiency. By lowering the running temperature you will detract from your cars performance although you will increase your safety margin before the engine boils.....
If your engine cooling system is in good condition it should never boil.

You can always wire a switch in to manually switch the fan on during hot weather but normally if its hot outside you will have the A/C on which automatically switches the hi speed fan on.
