Vss cap?

Took my vss out and replaced it put the old one on table had a look later and found this cap next to it and it fits on the end of it perfectly anyone know if this is an interanl part of the box

I don't know what it is But, it looks like thats what the transmission filter connects to, then the transmission itself?

You might of figured it out i i d get a transmission filter and reuse the old cap
