My VT has just clicked over 190,000km's and is due for a service. Does anyone know if there is anything in particular that needs doing at this time or is it just a basic oil and filters change? I have not yet got a service manual so information would be helpful.
Thanks in anticipation

sorry my service manual is at work locked away in my tool box... I still need to do the 170,000 myself yet.

I just did mine.. Did the tranny, oil change, fuel filter..

Check the instruction manual for the car. I'd read it out of mine, but I don't have a car :(

A few things I would start with is; new air filter, new sparkplugs, flush & replace ALL fluids (check the diff too),new fuel filter...get a multimeter an check the resistance on your coil pack an your injectors.Maybe remove the plenum chamber & throttle body an clean out all the carbon deposits. Probably heaps Im forgettin but its been along day, it really depends on how your car has been running an also how you look after it. Do a search on VT COMMON PROBLEMS an this will give you an idea of whats gonna go wrong if you got a lemon or your car has been used heavily.
