Hi I'm thinking about purchasing a vt 1997 executive 5l 5speed had a quick look at the outside today looks pretty clean definitely a manual and has a police speedo! Gts champagne rims!!I'm thinking I've never seen a 5l manual in a vt only ss models ? I couldn't pop the hood today to check the I'd tags but definitely keen ! Any help would be great and what it would be worth thanks

The world's full of them and liars. So I'd honestly say so. I've seen 5 litre manual utes and executives in early models but never had much to do with the executive. Just check the transmission code on the plate if you're worried it's converted.

I'd assume at least five just due to the parts worth alone these days if everything's healthy. Full manual set up and roller motor+ the wheels would probably get you that. But it's how longs a piece of string.

And to answer your question about value.....What some one is willing to pay....You've provided SFA pictures, SFA information and in the long run who knows what someone else will dig into their pockets to get it.

A person needs to physcially look at a car, drive a car before making an offer...If you don't you are a wanker, which says people on this forum that have answered aren't wankers because they have followed the golden rules of checking the car out in person before making an offer and you'd be the wanker thinking differently

how did you come up with a police speedo looking at car from the outside? and that is just a cluster setting, nothing special
if it is running good and rwc $5,000
if it is a bodged up piece of crap, $300
but carsguide seems to think up to $20,000

Offer what you're willing to pay & if owner doesn't want it walk away.
