My hsv senator has bloody low front skirts and i hit the kerb and pulled it off at one end. after fixing it i backed out of the shed and the front skirt mounted spotlight fell out! i drove over it and smashed it! i unclipped the wiring, but next day i noticed the airbag fault light on.. can these events be related? ie have i moved/desturbed the sensors/wiring underneath?

any ideas ?
thanks

I would have to say those events are most certainly related.Sounds like you gave it a descent knock, you may well have damaged the sensor or moved it out of alignment.I would have a specialist look at it to put things right.

its fine to keep driving but make sure you take it to a holden/HSV dealer or other professional that can look at it. if the sensor is damaged you dont want the airbags going off while your driving.

there is nothing outside the car that is involved with the SRS, its probably just a coincidence

oh and if the light is on the airbag system is probably disabled by the module, depending on the fault
